Format & Structure
A short, high-energy knockout built so every primary school in the country can take part — no entry barrier, all gear provided.
ExxonMobil Guyana & FL Sport
The fourth Future Warriors Tapeball Tournament is a sustained partnership between ExxonMobil Guyana and FL Sport. The organisers cover playing kits, bats, meals and transportation for every team, deliberately removing the financial barriers that keep grassroots schools out of organised cricket.
8 Overs · Knockout
Every match is 8 overs a side, played as a straight knockout with a tape/tennis ball — fast, high-scoring and built for community turnout. Squads are 13 players with 11 fielding, and matches bowl off at 09:30h each day.
48 Teams · Mixed-Gender
16 teams per county across Demerara, Berbice and Essequibo make up the 48-team field, and schools may field mixed-gender XIs — keeping the tournament genuinely open to every child who wants to play.
Prizes & Development
Each zone's winning school receives an equipment bag, and the top four teams in every region are awarded tablets for digital, online match-scoring instruction — leaving lasting kit and skills behind in the schools long after the trophy is lifted.
