Rewa Eco-Lodge

Where adventure meets conservation

Community-Run Eco-Lodge · North Rupununi

Rewa Eco-Lodge sits at the confluence of the Rewa and Rupununi Rivers, deep in the rainforest of Region 9, Guyana. It is owned and run by the village of Rewa — a community of 361 Macushi, Patamona, Wapishana and Waiwai people who built the lodge in 2005 as a way to protect this corner of the Amazon and share it with travellers on the village's own terms.

Signature Experiences

Every Rewa trip is led by Indigenous guides who have walked these forests and fished these rivers all their lives — the kind of guides whose knowledge you cannot hire from a city.

Arapaima Fishing

Rewa & Rupununi Rivers

Hook the legendary arapaima — the world's largest scaled freshwater fish — alongside peacock bass and payara. All fishing is strictly catch-and-release so these giants stay in the river for the next generation.

How to Get There

Reaching Rewa

Rewa is genuinely remote — that's part of why it is what it is. The lodge team can arrange every leg of the trip.

1

Fly to Georgetown

International flights into Cheddi Jagan International Airport (GEO).

2

Charter to Annai

A roughly 1.5-hour scenic charter flight from Georgetown to Annai or a nearby airstrip.

3

Ground Transfer

A short drive from the airstrip to the riverbank, where the Rewa team meets you.

4

River Journey

The final leg is a boat ride upriver through the rainforest to the lodge itself.

The Rewa team can arrange flights, transfers and the river leg end-to-end — just send your travel dates.
