Origins 2026 Workshop Series
Free fashion-industry workshops · building toward the festival
A run of free fashion-industry workshops from Origins Guyana Fashion Festival, the Ministry of Tourism, Industry & Commerce and South America Undiscovered — from export-ready labelling to garment finishing, fashion accounting and fashion writing. They build toward the main Origins festival, July 3–5, 2026 (“A Diamond Legacy: Fashioning 60 Years”). Most run at the Arthur Chung Conference Centre; all are free with RSVP.
About the series
Ahead of its July festival, Origins is running a series of free capacity-building workshops for Guyana’s fashion and creative industry — practical sessions on the business and craft of fashion, open to designers, students and small clothing businesses.
It’s part of a government-backed push (through the Ministry of Tourism, Industry & Commerce) to raise the technical and commercial standard of Guyanese fashion so local designers can compete regionally and internationally — from making garments export-ready to telling their brand story.
Emerging and working designers, tailors, fashion students, and small clothing/creative businesses.
Free — each workshop takes RSVP via a QR code on its flyer (posted to Origins’ Instagram).
